Interview with Wikipedia’s Jimmy Wales

Jimmy Wales made online encyclopedia Wikipedia into perhaps the most famous wiki in the world. Now he’s turning his attention to Internet search. Wales is building a search engine using open source code from the Nutch and Lucene projects. The search results will be editable by humans, not determined by an algorithm. Can it work? Wales discusses the project with web editor Mike Bazeley and Internet reporter Elise Ackerman.
