Jimmy Wales made online encyclopedia Wikipedia into perhaps the most famous wiki in the world. Now he’s turning his attention to Internet search. Wales is building a search engine using open source code from the Nutch and Lucene projects. The search results will be editable by humans, not determined by an algorithm. Can it work?
